OVERVIEW
Elegant and technically superior. The 725 Citori High Rib Sporting Adjustable shotgun brings the next generation of Citori to the world of sport shooters. The Low-Profile, steel receiver with silver nitride finish combines strength, ergonomics and aesthetics. The very high rib will keep your head up and targets in view. And the adjustable comb will make sure you have a perfect fit.
What sets it apart? Gold accented 725 Sporting Engraving on the receiver with "725 Sporting" on the bottom. Ventilated extra high top rib allows you to keep your head in a more comfortable and natural upright position. Ventilated top and side ribs provide extra exposure to air and greater cooling of barrels during shooting. Ported barrels are designed to minimize muzzle jump and allow quicker acquisition of follow on targets. And of course, an adjustable comb for customized fit.
FEATURES
FireLite Mechanical Trigger -- Found only on the Citori 725.
The exclusive new Fire Lite Mechanical Trigger is a big part of the Citori 725's performance package. Unlike an inertia trigger, Fire Lite does not rely on recoil to set the next shot, instead, you get immediate second shot capability. The innovative design features reduced take up, a crisp break and shorter overtravel.
Invector-DS (Double Seal) Choke System - A Revolutionary Step Forward in Choke Tubes
The new Browning Invector-DS choke tube system is the biggest leap forward in design since interchangeable choke tubes were introduced. With the Invector-DS, we’ve taken the proven thin wall, muzzle thread choke concept to the next level of shot pattern performance. The exclusive brass alloy band at the base of the tube seals out gas and grit that sneaks between the barrel and tube, making the Invector-DS tubes easy to remove even after extensive shooting. Thin wall construction reduces the flare at the end of the barrel for a sleeker shotgun appearance. Lastly, the Invector-DS offers the most consistent, reliable tightening of any system ever. With all these features, you can’t lose with Invector-DS. The video below (filmed showing the A5 shotgun) explains key advantages.
Ergo Balanced
Features and looks are only part of the A5 equation for success. The new A5 feels incredibly balanced in your hands from pad to muzzle. It feels light and swings fast. Put an A5 to the real test by picking one up. The grip is comfortable, and the forearm is compact and narrow, placing your front hand closer to the bore line for superior hand-eye coordination and pointability.
Total Barrel Dynamics
The concept of Total Barrel Dynamics covers every aspect of the barrel that contributes to overall shotgun performance. This may include improvements to some or all of these key barrel features on most 12 and 20 gauge models. It is important to note that not all Browning shotguns have Total Barrel Dynamics and that some have only portions of the package of features.
Inflex II Technology Recoil Pad
The new Inflex II Technology recoil pad is the next generation of the most recoil absorbing pad available. A softer new outer material provides even better recoil absorbing performance and is super slippery to prevent snagging on clothing when shouldering. Internal directional deflection construction guides the comb down and away from your cheek for greater shooting comfort and faster, more accurate follow-up shots.
Steel Shot Performance
The strength of a Browning barrel is legendary, and is built to handle the punishment of steel shot. Unlike some manufacturers’ barrels whose guns face an uncertain future after shooting steel, we have long been at the forefront of dependable steel shot performance and durability. Our barrels meet the strictest material and construction quality standards. The barrel blanks are made from rolled and tempered steel bars and are stress relieved to offer exceptional mechanical properties. The barrel blanks are then precision drilled, reamed and honed to exacting specifications. With proper care, a Browning barrel will last a lifetime.
Triple Trigger System
All 725 target shotguns come equipped with the Triple Trigger™ System, which fine tunes finger-to-trigger length of pull. Choose a wide checkered, narrow smooth or wide smooth canted trigger shoe.
Locking Bolt and Hinge Pin
Unlike other low-profile over and unders, the Citori 725 features a transverse-mounted, full-width tapered locking bolt and full-width hinge pin to maintain the legendary Browning strength and reliability counted on for generations. The locking bolt engages a full-width tapered recess in the rear barrel lugs. Tapering the bolt and recess allows the bolt to seat deeper, accommodating for wear. Unlike guns with side-mounted trunnions, the 725's hinge pin extends the full width of the receiver for maximum strength. Like the original Citori, the 725 is engineered to wear in, not out.
